The Specchio Suite
Mirrors are much more than just plain decoration, they’re a door into a world of caresses, unspoken stories of love and long hours cuddling with only one concern: watch the first beams of light filter through the curtains of the east window, then watch the sun set on the opposite side of the suite.
This beautiful 44m² suite, in the upper floor of the central part of the house, is entered by a cosy private loggia which leads to the living room, with kitchen corner with dishwasher and a comfortable sofa-bed to provide accommodation for another couple if required. The large bathroom has two showers. The bedroom overlooking the swimming pool has a double bed 1.8m wide, so also suitable for a Thruple.

Each suite is decorated in a unique, original style, so as to make five different experiences for our guests to enjoy. All of them come with delicate furniture pieces, double beds with fine cotton linen, a kitchen corner with cooking utensils and crockery, a Caffè Italy espresso machine. Dining tables both inside the suites and on their private terraces, spacious bathrooms, underfloor heating, some also have an outdoor shower. All have great Wi-Fi and a Bose Soundlink. There is no air conditioning system because we have the best one in the world: the fresh Umbrian summer breeze.
Booking information
Rates are quoted in Euros (€) for double occupancy of a suite per night, including daily light cleaning of your suite, towels for use at the pool, daily breakfast, and tax. The Diva and Specchio Suites have beds 1.80m wide so can sleep a thruple. Additionally the Specchio Suite has a double sofa bed so can accommodate up to five persons ideal for groups of guys travelling on a budget. Rates for single occupancy of the suites are shown in a separate column.
Every suite has a “Bose Soundlink” to connect to your smartphone and “CaffeItaly” espresso machines, so you can wake up to a real Italian coffee whilst listening to some smoochy music.
In spring and autumn seasons we request a minimum stay of two nights and in summer season three or, in some suites four nights. To confirm a booking we require a deposit of 20%. A nightly tourist tax raised by our comune of Gubbio of €1.60 per person for the first four nights of any stay is payable in cash upon departure.
During the online booking procedure you will find our cancellation policy, please take time to read it, we have no alternative but to strictly apply the policy, so we suggest you take out travel insurance to cover any cancelled or curtailed stay.
Dinners in the summer using local produce are served two or three evenings a week with guests seated together at one table and are priced at €35 Please advise us in advance of any dietary requirements you might have. In the summer we also organise BBQ and Pizza evenings cooked in the original wood fired oven. No need to bring wines and spirits, We have a well stocked wine cellar and trust bar – just help yourselves and mark your purchases down on the sheet…
Dogs: As a dog owner I know how difficult it is to travel without your pet so here we welcome well behaved dogs. We ask that dogs are not permitted on the furniture or left unattended in the suites. We make a charge of €15 per dog per day.
