Bellaugello is a clothing optional guest house. Whilst there is no obligation to be naked, you are welcome to sunbathe, swim, be in the gardens and on the terraces naked. We do ask that guests are clothed for dinners.
We have an in house Masseur who offers relaxing therapeutic massages. Simply click on the option during the booking process, or chat with him when you arrive. In warm weather your massage will be outdoors on a shady terrace, relaxed by birdsong and the breeze in the trees.
Sometimes it seems as if we are always full. If you are having trouble finding your dates, get in touch, we are here to help. By moving room or changing one day we can usually find a solution.
We have good WiFi coverage in all the suites, the communal areas, the garden, pool and Jacuzzi areas.
Included in your room rate our team gives your suite a light clean every morning, after all you are on holiday. We make a full change of linens every four days. Should you require a full cleaning service or more regular change of linens just ask. We do apply a supplement for this service. We provide you with a towel for your use at the pool and Jacuzzi area.
We offer a delicious breakfast daily, included in your room rate. Great coffees, teas and tisanes, homemade breads, cakes, jams and yogurt, produce from the farm including eggs from our hens, oh, and local cheese, and capocollo from Gianluca our butcher.
In the summer we serve evening meals three times a week. We alternate between ‘semi-formal’ dinner of local traditional dishes, a casual bbq, or a pizza evening with pizzas cooked in the wood oven. We aim to supply vegetables from our garden and wherever possible km0 organic produce.
Oh, and we occasionally organise a “Cinema Paradiso” evening – supper & a film screened outdoors…
Upon request we offer a simple cold lunch plate. Oh! and We cook with love.
All of us sit together at one table, a great way to chat the evening away. In summer you will be served on the terrace under the stars, in cooler months around our antique family table in the dining room with a log fire blazing.
Not at all! We have a nice selection of Umbrian wines, Prosecco, Spirits (including gin from Gubbio) and mixers in our ‘trust bar’ in the dining-room and down at the sauna terrace. We offer a ‘Get Started Hamper’ a food basket filled with local goodies to stock your cupboard for the first days of your stay. To order the Hamper, simply click on the option during the booking process. Wake up to fresh Italian coffee, there is a ‘Caffitaly’ expresso machine in your room. We regret we are not able to do personal shopping.
So many of us are dog owners and at Bellaugello we know that dogs love to travel with their dads. My dog welcomes well behaved friends. There are many great walks from the house without the need to take the car. We make a small charge for dogs. Just click on the option “Travelling with my dog” during the booking procedure.
We love weddings! Bellaugello is fully licensed as a venue for wedding ceremonies. For same sex couples in Italy this takes the form of an internationally legally recognised Civil Union. Bellaugello is 14km from our local town of Gubbio. There you will discover restaurants, bars, & stores in a stunning medieval townscape. Once you arrive we are full of great ideas of places to go, that is, if you can tear yourself away from our pool.
Bellaugello is situated in the countryside and to make the most of a stay we really do recommend a rental car. Plenty of parking space here. Umbrian roads are not overly busy and there is so much to see and do. Car rentals are also available from our local airport and train station at Perugia. If you prefer not to drive, then we are happy to organise a transfer from the local or national airport or train station. Let us know and we will give you a quote. Uber, Bolt and similar services do not operate in rural Italy.
