Oggi Pesto

Yet another beautiful day here in Umbria at Bellaugello Gay Guest House. The heat has brought on the basil and today it is time for making pesto. The little vegetable garden is also doing well and tomatoes are to be harvested.
Last week I made tomato chutney, it turned out flavoursome and good, so maybe more today too!
This evening we all head into our local town of Gubbio this evening for cocktails and dinner in one of the piazzas to watch the sbandieratore or flag throwers, an ancient and colourful art.
