No need to go to Provence or the south of France, here in Umbria at Bellaugello Gay Guest House the garden is fragrant and filled with the wonderful colour of the lavender bushes which are slowly bursting into flower.

The bushes are filled with all sorts of wonderous and brightly coloured insects feeding on the nectar in the heat of the June sun – a very pleasant 36˚c here today

Soon I will begin harvesting some of the 200 plants and lavender muffins and all sorts of lavender goodies will be on the menu once again, in the meanwhile the guys having breakfast on the terrace are all enjoying the fragrance.
