She’s home!!

An agonisingly long wait all day for a call to Bellaugello Gay Guest House.  Finally I took the initiative and made early this evening the call to the vet to discover how Jenny was.  He (Melania’s colleague Guiseppe) gave me the good news that she had responded to the drip and antibiotics and was to be allowed home tonight. Hurrah!!

A joyous drive to Perugia, the evening warm and balmy, big fleecy cumulus clouds tinged with red as the sun set an enormous ruddy glow in the west, Umbria is so very beautiful.

She is not out of the woods yet, her pancreas is damaged and she has Cushing’s Syndrome both of which affects her digestion, so she is on a very strict diet, no fats, no treats, just extrordinarily expensive designer dog food.  If that is what it takes to keep her well then I’m on for it.

Tomorrow she is to return for a check-up, then if all well continue the antibiotics and we will first treat the pancreas and then try to minimise the damage to her kidneys.

Thanks to everyone near and far away for your warm messages of support, they all mean a great deal.

A fabulous pool day

Such fun getting the guys to pose for the “Bellaugello Backs” photo today

Chaos ensued in the infinity pool at Bellaugello Gay Guest House under the hot Umbrian sunshine as the guys tried to get both their backs and buts into the photo!!
