Elegant dining

Dinner tonight at Bellaugello was a rarified affair. The terrace table handsomely decorated by Willem and Marnix, who excelled at chic styling. After cocktails served by the dashing Marc
we feasted off figs picked in the garden this morning by the guys and stuffed with Gorgonzola and wrapped in pancetta.
A primo of baccala in umido, salt cod served Eugubine style with a hint of garlic, onion, celery, tomato and potatoes, which was followed by roast free range farm chicken with grilled aubergines and rounded off with nectarines poached in lavender syrup served with apricot and nespole ice cream, a feast for the eyes and taste buds!
The starry evening ending with satellite spotting, all thanks to Marcel and Eric and their app!

Back to the beautiful backs!

The day might have been cloudy but the guys were sunny and cheery and had great fun taking this photo in the infinity pool at Bellaugello Gay Guest House in glorious Italy

Relaxing poolside

28 deg poolside today at Bellaugello gay guest house and the water is 22 deg
Nothing better to do for the guys than relax and soak up the sun.

I think I have just learnt how to upload videos to my blog!

On our way back from dinner the other evening in our local town of Gubbio we stopped in the piazza of S Martino as the miserere was being sung. Despite the rain and our lack of wet weather gear, the host of umbrellas held by the the singers hiding underneath same, it was utterly entrancing and we just had to stop.
This was just one of the chantings in the weeks that run up to Easter
A taste of Good Friday and the “Processione di Cristo Morto” which takes place throughout the old town commencing just before sunset.

Good morning March

A glorious sunrise heralds the arrival of March at Bellaugello Gay Guest House

The golden view over the infinity pool toward the Apennines this morning and I have no idea where the green dot came from!

Hurrah for France

A big hurrah for France as the government votes ‘YES’ to marriage for all

We here at Bellaugello Gay Guest House are delighted to learn that by this summer the first French married gay couples may be visiting
