Somewhat reluctantly I have just torn myself away from an over-comfortable sun-lounger at the side of the pool here at Bellaugello where I had been catching up on my suntan and just plain relaxing, enjoying the peace and quiet to come and catch up on emails and load some recently taken photos. Today the sky is cloudless, there is a light breeze that occasionally wafts the sound of a distant tractor working in the fields in the valley below and it is in the mid 30ºs and the pool is at 28º bliss……
The other morning I was awake early, just in time to catch the mist hanging in the Chiascio valley below Bellaugello Gay Guest House.
It is a wonderous sight to behold, as the sun rises, the colours soft and subtle gain strength and the landscape becomes more defined
Slowly th mist rises or thins and more hill tops appear and buildings surge forth from the soft fluffy mist to be bathed in the early morning glow of the sun. Here the panorama is ever changing, colours blending and yet still green and verdant not scorched, a veritable haven
