Elegant dining

Dinner tonight at Bellaugello was a rarified affair. The terrace table handsomely decorated by Willem and Marnix, who excelled at chic styling. After cocktails served by the dashing Marc
we feasted off figs picked in the garden this morning by the guys and stuffed with Gorgonzola and wrapped in pancetta.
A primo of baccala in umido, salt cod served Eugubine style with a hint of garlic, onion, celery, tomato and potatoes, which was followed by roast free range farm chicken with grilled aubergines and rounded off with nectarines poached in lavender syrup served with apricot and nespole ice cream, a feast for the eyes and taste buds!
