Argentina’s Senate discusses Gay Marriage

Tremendous news on the BBC this morning

Whilst same sex civil unions are already legal in the city of Buenos Aires,  the Argentinan Senate is now discussing a proposal to legalise gay marriage and the right for same sex couples to be able to adopt.

President Cristina Fernandez has stated that she would not veto the measures if they arrived in her office.

Of course the ever present Catholic Church is making a large protest
